Geriatric Nursing Program Update
Utah’s first interdisciplinary care management program was launched at the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2013 with 8 initial certificate students. We are pleased to announce that the program is growing. Eighteen students joined the first cohort working towards a master’s degree in fall 2014.
The program was developed through the support of a grant from HRSA, submitted by faculty within the University of Utah’s Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, to create an educational pathway to become a care manager. The program offers population-focused, interdisciplinary online instruction and includes a geriatric emphasis. To read more about the creation of this program, please go to this link.
