2013 Pilot Grants Due Aug 19
Recent Symposium
Mark and Kathie Supiano traveled to Seoul Korea last month to jointly present a symposium for the 20th International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics World Congress meeting.
The symposium, "Addressing the Need for Interdisciplinary Team Training", presented the work of an American Geriatrics Society Task force as part of the Partnership for Health in Aging. Its findings are available at http://americangeriatrics.org/pha/partnership_for_health_in_aging/about_pha/ and will be published later this year in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.
New Fellows
The Geriatrics Division is very pleased to welcome three new Geriatric Medicine Fellows into its training program for the 2013-14 academic year. All three just completed Internal Medicine residency training in our School of Medicine - Meg Skibitsky completed and additional year as a Chief Medical Resident.
Pictured here with their Hazzard's geriatric medicine textbooks, from left to right, are Natalie Manley, MD, Mary Spivey, MD and Meg Skibitsky, MD. We are excited about the program's expansion to three trainees this year, and about working with these future geriatricians. Please join us in welcoming them.
